Rod Nelson selected for the RWA Open Exhibition 2020

Regular visitors to the Paragon Gallery will need no introduction to Rod Nelson’s sublime woodcuts. Their gorgeous, fluent invocations of light and water in vast, awe-inspiring landscapes stir something deep in the soul. We’ve been huge fans of them from the start.

It’s thus with tremendous pleasure that we can reveal Rod will be exhibiting two works at this year’s prestigious Royal West of England Academy Annual Open Exhibition, running from 21st November - 7th March 2021. This will be Rod’s third showing at the RWA since 2017 and it comes after a successful appearance at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition on Piccadilly in 2019.

If you can’t wait until November, fear not, for we have a superb selection of Rod’s fabulous work on display in the gallery, including brand new pieces fresh from the studio. Stand before them and you can almost hear the roar of the water…
