Inmaculada is inspired by the beautiful landscapes of Andalusia and its remarkable architecture. A number of her etchings are influenced by the decorative elements of buildings, including the Mosque of Cordoba and the Alhambra in Granada.

Inmaculada Gimeno Antolin was born in Madrid but has lived and worked in Fuengirola in southern Spain since 1983. She studied art and interior decoration at the Montelar School in Madrid. Following this she ran a section in an interior design magazine for eight years.

Inmaculada studied engraving at the Municipal School Workshop in Fuengirola, where she learned printmaking techniques ranging from the classical to the avant-garde, and now runs her own workshop where she creates prints with mixed techniques, combining etching with other methods.

Inmaculada has been the subject of solo exhibitions in Fuengirola, Ronda, Marbella, Madrid, Alicante, and further afield in Japan. She has participated in group exhibitions in Cadiz, Granada, Valladolid, Marbella and Fuengirola. She released two editions for Project Leader II (CEDER, Ministry of Agriculture, Board of Andalusia and European Union) and two editions for the Mijas City Council, which are exhibited at the City Hall.
